Day 08 (Friday, 21 Nov2008)

It was the very last day we were going to stay in India. Seriously, I can’t bear to leave that place. I am so used to the temperature there, the weather, the time and even the food there. I felt so comfortable staying there without any slightest form of stress. I do not want to go home.
We were late because most of us did not have a good night sleep yesterday. Serve us right for squeezing into one small room. I was having a tough time trying to pack up my stuff into my luggage; I have too many things all around our room. Fortunately, I was able to pack up all my things in time and leave for our first destination.

We went to the flower market which I hated the most. I thought that it would be a beautiful place since it was filled with flowers, but who could imagine all the houseflies and muddy ground, with a stinky smell filling all over the place. It was atrocious. I was glad that we went there for a short while before we went to the India Museum. It was quite boring for me since I am not into history at all. I am not amazed with what they had displayed; I just do not know how to appreciate art. We visit almost all the halls before we bought some souvenir. I bought this Buddha head souvenir which cost merely a few Singapore dollars. So, at least I did have something which looks quite artistic for my father. I guess it should be nice since it was from a museum anyway.

We had a late lunch at the Tiara restaurants which I like a lot. Everything seems so nice about the place; the toilets; the food; the chairs and the service provided. It was great in every way! It feels good to have people to serve me! I feel good! We then did some stupid feedback form before we head to our next destination, our hotel. We were only given a short period of time to check out of the hotel. So, every one of us were rushing like crazy, stuffing our things into their bag. However for our case, we were quite well prepared and organized. We were able to pack our things into our luggage nicely and in an orderly manner because we always pack our luggage at the end of the day. See, I am quite well organized in my work.

We then load our entire luggage into the coach, and then we head to the new market. It was freaking crowded with lots of people and goods. I bought a whole roll of bangles at a very low rate. The initial price the seller offered was 300 rupees for one roll. However, our tour guide managed to get a price of 25 rupees a roll for us after much negotiating. She was great in bargaining for a good price!

We left the new market to a huge shopping mall, where we have our final stop there. We had our dinner over there, as well as some shopping. I wanted to get some clothes from the mall, but the mall simply has shops selling male’s clothing than female ones. This was so unfair! I could not get anything much from the mall, except some accessories such as a few pairs of ear rings, some bangles and a bracelet. The bracelet was for my mother, while I bought some accessories for Qin.

Time flew very quickly; it was the time for us to head to the airport. We were kind of late, so our bus driver went on dashing on the road. We took our luggage, and we checked in. I cannot believe that we have to go through that kind of security check; we have to wait so long for the freaking flight.

I guess it was the most unlucky day I have ever been. I was arranged to sit with the president and the VP of the interact club. Damn shit! The people whom I hated the most were sitting just right beside me. Kar Wee was then trying to ask the others if they need to ‘save’ me. During that moment, I freaked out. I am overwhelmed by the fact that I am going to be the brightest ‘light bulb’ ever on board, so I request Dean to change his seat with me. Fortunately he agreed to it, and then I moved to join Wee Yang and Aloysius.

The feeling of going home was terrible. I could feel all the stress even I was on board the flight. I really do not want to go home. By the time I reached Singapore, it would have already been 6 plus in the morning.

I was surprise with the ‘efficiency’ the Singapore airport has. After alighted from my plane and visited to the washroom, my luggage has already gone twice around the belt! How amazing! My father and Qin were here to fetch me, and I am so glad about it. Time for me to head home and get a rest. End of story.
