Thank God! My back no longer hurts as much as yesterday. It is much better now; at least I could jump around without feeling the pain on my back. It was pouring very heavily yesterday afternoon, while I was on my way for service. As I was walking across the overhead bridge, God suddenly prompted me about the slippery steps as I was making my way down on the other side. I think that God knew the soles of my shoes have already wore out, my shoes is friction ‘free’. I made my way down the slippery steps together with an old lady who was in her sixties. All of the sudden, she slipped by the slippery steps. Instantly, I reached out my hand to stop her from falling. Unfortunately, I lost my balance and then was about to fall together with her. Luckily, I hold onto the handrail beside me on time, I was able to prevent myself from falling down the steps. Really thank God for that! But the most unlucky thing was that I slammed onto the handrail at the side and injured my back. Ouch! The old lady did thank me, but that was not the point. Gladly, I was the only one who got injured, not her. It would be terrible if the old lady of sixties fell off the steps.
I rushed off quickly before the old lady could thank me. Anyway, it is not important if that old lady thank me or not. It is just a ‘thank you’ after all. I rushed to the train station, and I was able to get onto the crowded train. I thought that everything would have gone smoothly now on, but I was wrong. After the train reached Lavender, it was about to shut the door and then take off. But one of the doors just could not close. It lasted for 10 minutes before the SMRT staffs came to take a look. Oh my! I was already late, this made it even worse. Things were bad, and all the passengers were forced to alight from this stop. I was really damn pissed. But I prayed to God, asking for a patient and forgiving heart. Thank God that I have reached Somerset on time. I reached before the service started. Phew.
