As I was doing my quiet time, reading the Daily Bread, I keep asking myself this question. How deep are my roots? I remember in the book of Matthew, there was a parable of the sower. People who hear the Word and receive it joyfully are like seed sown on stony places; they spring up quickly but endure only a short period of time because they have no roots. The roots are the source of our strength. If our roots go deep in the knowledge of God and our live hidden in Christ, we would be strong and able to survive the storms of adversity.
